Connect your AI assistant

Read your own SpreadAI snapshots from inside the assistant you already use — Muse, Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any client that speaks the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

What you get

Two read-only tools. Your assistant can list your snapshots and summarise any one of them — the four stage scores (Find / Understand / Recommend / Route to Action), priority gaps, strengths, and crawl coverage. Nothing is written, and your assistant only ever sees the account the token belongs to.

Step 1 — Create an access token

Open Dashboard → MCP and create a personal access token (spat_…). It is shown once, so copy it immediately. Keep it secret and treat any client you connect as acting on your behalf.

Step 2 — Add the server to your assistant

Add this as a Streamable-HTTP MCP server and paste the token as a Bearer header:

https://mcp.spreadai.io/mcp

In Muse, you can simply say:

“Connect to my SpreadAI account. The MCP server is https://mcp.spreadai.io/mcp and it needs a Bearer token.”

Step 3 — Ask a question

  • “List my SpreadAI snapshots.”
  • “What did my last snapshot say about AI crawler access?”
  • “Which stage is my weakest, and what should I fix first?”

OAuth (no token copy-paste)

If your client supports OAuth discovery, point it at the same endpoint. It reads our authorization-server metadata automatically and you sign in with a 6-digit email code — no token to paste.

Boundaries — please read

  • Read-only. It cannot change your scores, reports, or settings.
  • Your account only. A different token is a different account; a snapshot id from another account is not visible.
  • Revoke anytime. Revoke the token in Dashboard → MCP and the connection stops working immediately.
  • Readiness, not rankings. Snapshots are a deterministic audit of how readable your public site is to AI systems. They do not guarantee that any AI product will mention, cite, rank, or recommend your business.
